With these hits, it is easy to make an audition cut with a chorus and a verse, or maybe the bridge of the song to the end. Finding the perfect 16 or 32 bars will be a cinch! These standards can work for most any gender or type by changing the key and adding your own flair. These classic hits are sure to be a smash, making a lasting impression at your next jazz audition.

This song has been made new time and time again and remains an old classic that everyone loves to hear. You’ll be able to work the room with this crowd-pleasing hit.
2. Unforgettable by Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole
This song is a classic standard that will leave you with an unforgettable performance each time.

This upbeat classic will leave the audition with everyone’s toes tappin’!

This is another classic song, and my favorite rendition is by Billie Holiday. This song helps to bear your soul and truly feel the lyrics.
7. At Last by Etta James
This classic song has been a wedding favorite for years, declaring that lasting love with a song that has lasted through the ages.
8. Cry Me a River by Ella Fitzgerald
Not the same as the song made famous by Justin Timberlake, but this classic hit is the ultimate song about love and loss, initially sung by the beautiful and soulful Ella Fitzgerald.
9. Feeling Good by Michael Bublé
Feeling Good will leave any casting team feeling just that… this song will truly leave a lasting impression when you nail this Michael Bublé contemporary in the audition room.
10. Moondance by Van Morrison
